Bush Tukka - Prickly Pear

Bush tukka doesn't have to be a native species. Consider the invasive pests - both fauna and flora - that are now naturalised. Some plants were brought into the country as decoration and others were brought in as a food source by colonists. The invasive species prickly pear is prevalent in Australia and is a good source of nutrition.
